Carlos Nobre, born Nomar Nobre Chatelain in Vitória, was a prominent Brazilian singer and songwriter who left a lasting mark on the nation's musical landscape. His artistic journey began in 1951 when he entered the vibrant world of music by participating in various talent shows, gradually building a dedicated following through his captivating voice and performances. Over a prolific career spanning fifty years, he recorded numerous 78 rpm records, LPs, and compact discs, totaling twenty-seven releases that collectively sold approximately 600,000 copies and earned him esteemed accolades such as the Troféu Chico Viola.

Throughout his decades-long trajectory, Nobre achieved widespread recognition with his major hit song "Ciclone," released in 1959, which maintained a strong presence on the music charts for an extended period.
