Biography

The group Carne Doce emerged in 2013 in the city of Goiânia, initially formed only by the couple Salma Jô and Macloys Aquino, who debuted with the EP Dos Namorados. The following year, the project expanded with the entry of new musicians to consolidate a band lineup, resulting in the release of their self-titled first studio album. With a striking sound tied to indie rock, the group quickly gained prominence in the national independent scene alongside artists like Fresno and CPM 22.

Throughout its trajectory, the band released works praised by specialized critics, such as the albums Princesa, in 2016, and Tônus, in 2018, the latter appearing among the best of the year on lists by publications like Rolling Stone Brasil. This recognition opened doors for important performances at major festivals, including Lollapalooza Brasil and Popload Festival, as well as international tours that visited countries like Portugal and England.

In the following years, the band continued to expand its discography with the albums Interior and Cererê, reaffirming its relevance in contemporary Brazilian music with nominations for significant awards, such as the Prêmio da Música Brasileira. After more than a decade of activities marked by aesthetic innovation and lyrical engagement, the group announced the end of its activities at the end of 2025.
