Biography

Founded in 2001 by businessman Alex Padang in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the band Cavaleiros do Forró quickly established itself as one of the major names in electronic forró in Brazil. Throughout its history, the group has gone through various line-ups and style changes, alternating between romantic hits and the upbeat rhythm of forró vanerão and piseiro. The ensemble marked the genre's history by releasing albums with significant sales figures and recording memorable performances on DVDs captured in various regions of the country, such as the legendary show at Arena das Dunas celebrating their 18th anniversary.

Despite moments of great commercial success and popularity on TV shows and national micaretas, the group's journey was also marked by difficult times, including tragic road accidents that claimed the lives of members on northeastern highways. The band has featured several prominent vocalists over the years, remaining active and renewing its repertoire with new projects and partnerships with contemporary artists from the forró scene, such as Dorgival Dantas and Saia Rodada.
