Celeste Vanuchi, known mononymously as Celeste, is a Brazilian singer who emerged in the late 1970s.

Born on April 19, 1942, in Bariri, São Paulo, Celeste began her musical journey in Salvador, Bahia. Her career gained momentum with the release of two albums under her Christian name on the Tapecar and Odeon labels: "Cinco e Triste da Manhã" in 1978 and "Laço de Cobra" in 1979. These recordings showcased her talent in the samba-jazz and pop genres, establishing her presence in the Brazilian music scene.

Celeste's music is characterized by its blend of samba, bossa nova, soul, and MPB. Her work, often sung in Portuguese, reflects the rich musical heritage of Brazil. She is associated with artists like Celia Vaz, who featured on her 1983 album "Celeste," and her musical style can be appreciated alongside contemporaries such as Maria Creuza and Joyce Moreno.
