Biography

Cérebro Eletrônico was a Brazilian rock band formed in São Paulo in 2002 by Tatá Aeroplano, who was also a creator of Jumbo Elektro, and Fernando Maranho. The group initially released their debut album, Onda Híbrida Ressonante, in 2003 through the Reco Head label, recorded in a home studio and blending electronic music with tropicalism as a major reference. Over time, the lineup expanded to include members such as Dudu Tsuda, Gustavo Souza, Isidoro Cobra, Thais Maranho, and Helena Rosenthal, enriching their musical approach.

As the years progressed, the band shifted towards a more pop-oriented repertoire, drawing influences from cinema, dadaism, and fantastic literature for their second album, Pareço Moderno, released in 2008. Their artistic trajectory also featured notable performances, including an appearance at the TIM Festival in 2008, as well as subsequent releases like Deus e o Diabo no Liqüidificador in 2010.

In their fourth album, Vamos pro Quarto, released in 2013, the band consisted of Tatá Aeroplano, Fernando Maranho, Renato Cortez, Gustavo Souza, and Fernando TRZ. The group recorded this project during a three-day retreat in a country house in Bragança Paulista, embracing an experimental tradition reminiscent of Os Mutantes and Arrigo Barnabé. After more than a decade of musical exploration, the band officially announced the end of their activities in September 2016.
