Biography

César Augusto, stage name of César Augusto Saud Abdala, was born in Jaborandi and established himself as one of the great composers, singers, and producers of Brazilian sertanejo and romantic music. Still in his childhood, he moved to Jardinópolis, where he began his journey in composition through student festivals, moving to São Paulo in his youth to become a professional in the field. Throughout his career, he has accumulated hundreds of compositions recorded by major icons of the national scene, standing out in his creative partnership with heavyweights of Brazilian music such as Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Leandro & Leonardo, and Chitãozinho & Xororó.

After beginning his career as a soloist in the 1980s and composing hits charted by artists such as Gilliard and Wando, he formed the duo César & César in 1989 alongside César Rossini. Together, they explored sounds that mixed sertanejo with touches of country, rock, and pop, charting hits such as "Cowboy da Madrugada". The partnership was interrupted in 1995 due to Rossini's untimely passing, at which point César began to dedicate himself intensively to music production and the composition of era-defining hits voiced by duos such as Gian & Giovani and Guilherme & Santiago.

In the following years, the artist remained active on stage and in the studio, creating the project César Augusto & BR100, with which he released striking albums such as "Até o Paraíso" and the DVD "Minha Vida, Minha História". The latter featured special guest appearances by exponents of sertanejo music who celebrated his vast authorial repertoire. His contribution to popular and sertanejo music remains one of the fundamental pillars of romantic composition in Brazil.
