Biography

César Menotti & Fabiano is a renowned Brazilian sertanejo duo composed of brothers César Menotti da Silva and Fabiano José da Silva. Raised in Minas Gerais, the brothers initially began their musical journey as a trio alongside their sibling Fábio, eventually forming the duo that would help shape the rise of sertanejo universitário nationwide. Their breakthrough came in 2005 with the release of their live album Palavras de Amor, which achieved massive commercial success and yielded hit songs like "Leilão" and "Como Um Anjo".

Throughout their career, the duo has released numerous successful albums and earned critical acclaim, including a Latin Grammy nomination and win for best romantic album with their project .com_você. Known for blending traditional modas de viola with contemporary country and pop influences, they have collaborated with various prominent figures in Brazilian music, such as Dominguinhos and Jorge & Mateus. Their distinctive repertoire bridges the gap between traditional roots music and modern generations of fans.

Maintaining a strong presence in the Brazilian musical landscape for decades, César Menotti & Fabiano continue to celebrate the classics of sertanejo while releasing fresh material. Projects like Memórias Anos 80 & 90 highlighted their dedication to preserving the musical identity of past decades. They remain celebrated cultural ambassadors of Belo Horizonte and enduring figures in the genre, alongside contemporaries like Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano and Chitãozinho & Xororó.
