Biography

Cesar Pierri, known artistically as CESRV, is a music producer, DJ, and audio engineer from São Paulo, and a prominent figure in the Brazilian electronic scene. His journey in music began with bands in the São Paulo underground, but in 2006, he redirected his focus toward electronic music, exploring the fusion of analog and digital sounds with urban beats. This experimentation resulted in a unique sound that established him as one of São Paulo's leading producers.

In 2012, CESRV released his debut EP, "Chances EP", which drew critical acclaim and the attention of other artists, solidifying his reputation. Subsequently, he co-founded the label Beatwise Recordings, an imprint dedicated to promoting innovative beats and experimental instrumental music, which became a reference point in Brazilian music. His collaboration with rappers like Febem and Fleezus, and international artists such as Swindle, DJ Rashad, and Taso, demonstrates the breadth of his work and his ability to move across different genres and musical scenes.

CESRV is recognized for his experimental approach, mixing influences from genres such as grime, drum and bass, footwork, house, and bass music, with a genuinely Brazilian sonic identity. He is considered one of the pioneers in popularizing grime in Brazil, coining the term "BRIME" (Brazilian Grime). His most recent work includes albums like "Highlife" (2025) and projects like the EP "Bela Vista", which explore new sonic territories and reaffirm his position as an innovative and influential artist in contemporary Brazilian music, dialoguing with names like Racionais MC's and Marvin Gaye in his influences.
