Francisco Pinheiro Christino Netto, known artistically as Chico Pinheiro, is a renowned Brazilian guitarist, composer, and arranger, born in São Paulo on December 8, 1975. His musical career began in 1991, working as an instrumentalist in soundtrack production companies. Soon after, he joined José Miguel Wisnik's band, and from then on, he collaborated with a wide range of renowned artists in Brazilian and international music.

His academic background is solid, having attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating in Performance and Arranging between 1995 and 1998, receiving important awards. Chico Pinheiro is recognized for his unique skill on the guitar, combining influences from Brazilian music, jazz, and classical music. His discography includes acclaimed albums such as "Meia Noite Meio Dia" (2003), "Chico Pinheiro" (2005), and "NOVA" (2007), which earned him Latin Grammy nominations and consolidated him as one of the leading names in contemporary instrumental jazz.
