Biography

Christiano Caldas is a Brazilian musician, pianist, keyboardist, accordionist, music producer, arranger, and audio engineer, with an established career spanning nearly three decades. Born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, he began his musical journey at the age of 13, influenced by his father, Adilson Caldas, who is also a musician and led dance bands. By age 17, he was already working professionally, dedicating himself to music production and audio engineering, fields that complement his work as an instrumentalist. His versatility has led him to collaborate with various renowned Brazilian music artists, including Milton Nascimento, Beto Guedes, Flávio Venturini, 14 Bis, Hamilton de Holanda, Roberto Menescal, Wagner Tiso, and Carlos Malta, moving masterfully across different musical genres.

In 2021, Christiano Caldas released his debut solo album, titled "Afinidades – Série instrumental, volume 1", a milestone in his career that celebrates instrumental music from Minas Gerais. The album, consisting of 10 tracks, features compositions by talents such as Célio Balona, Juarez Moreira, Thiago Delegado, Celso Moreira, Bob Tostes, Eneias Xavier, and Chico Amaral, as well as young talents from the Minas Gerais musical scene. In this project, Caldas demonstrates his skill as a pianist and accordionist, in addition to having taken charge of music production, mixing, mastering, and arrangements, consolidating his artistic vision.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted Christiano Caldas's concert schedule, which included an international tour with Milton Nascimento and other commitments with artists like Flávio Venturini and 14 Bis. However, the period also drove him to explore new forms of work and artistic expression, such as recordings and live streams, adapting to the new reality of the music industry. His work as an audio engineer and music producer, combined with his sensitivity as an instrumentalist, positions him as a multifaceted and respected professional in the Brazilian music scene.
