Biography

Cibelle Cavalli is a multidisciplinary multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and producer born in São Paulo. From a young age, she trained at the Marcelo Tupinambá conservatory, studying piano, guitar, percussion, and theater. Before fully committing to her musical path, she worked as a teenage model and pursued acting in Brazilian television and short films.

Her breakthrough in the music scene came after meeting the visionary producer Suba, serving as the main vocalist on his landmark 1999 electronic album São Paulo Confessions. Following Suba's untimely passing, she collaborated with fellow artists such as Celso Fonseca on his 2003 album Natural. Cibelle released her self-titled debut solo album in 2003 through the Belgian label Crammed Discs, subsequently establishing her base in Europe between Paris and London.

Throughout her career, she has developed an eclectic and hard-to-classify sound that bridges electronic music, bossa nova, and folk. Her subsequent records, including The Shine of Dried Electric Leaves and Las Vênus Resort Palace Hotel, further cemented her reputation as an innovative voice in contemporary music. She has also collaborated with numerous acts, ranging from hip-hop artist Xis to producer Apollo Nove and singer Rodrigo Pitta.
