Biography

Cícero Rosa Lins is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and producer born in Rio de Janeiro. Before pursuing his solo career, he was a member of the indie rock band Alice, with which he recorded two albums during the 2000s before the group disbanded.

In 2011, he released his debut solo album, Canções de Apartamento, recording and playing all the instruments himself at home. The work drew strong inspiration from MPB and bossa nova, earning him widespread recognition and two Multishow Brazilian Music Awards in 2012, including a nod for his version of a song originally by Los Hermanos.

Following his initial success, he released subsequent albums such as Sábado in 2013, featuring collaborations with artists like Marcelo Camelo and Silva, followed by A Praia and other notable projects. His distinct blending of contemporary indie aesthetics with traditional Brazilian sounds has cemented his place in modern Brazilian independent music.
