Biography

Cidade Dormitório is a Brazilian rock band formed in 2015 in Sergipe, originating from jam sessions around Aracaju and the Federal University of Sergipe campus. The founding lineup featured Yves Deluc on vocals and guitar, Heder Nascimento on guitar, Lauro Francis on bass, and Fabio Aricawa on drums, with the group's name inspired by Nossa Senhora do Socorro, a dormitory town of Aracaju where the members lived. They debuted with the single "Barbosa" in 2015 and released their first EP, Esperando o Pior, in 2017 through Banana Records, achieving international airplay in Argentina with the track "Setas Azuis".

Following their early releases, the band expanded their discography with the full-length studio albums Fraternidade-Terror in 2019 and a remix album titled Verões e Eletrodomésticos in 2020. As they continued to evolve, they released singles such as "Leds do Japão" and "Salvador" ahead of their second full-length record, RUÍNA ou O começo me distrai, launched in 2022 via Before Sunrise Records. Throughout their journey, the band shared festival stages and contemporary indie circuits alongside notable national acts like Far From Alaska and Boogarins.

By 2022, the group transitioned into a duo consisting of Yves Deluc and Fabio Aricawa, continuing to shape the independent rock scene in northeastern Brazil. Their musical style blends alternative rock textures with energetic rhythms reminiscent of indie underground movements. Building on their established presence, they remain an active voice in the Brazilian independent music community, bridging regional roots with modern alternative sensibilities.
