Biography

Aparecido Bianchi, better known as Cido Bianchi, was a talented Brazilian pianist and organist, born in São Paulo. His musical career gained prominence in the 1960s, when he formed the Jongo Trio alongside double bassist Sabá and drummer Toninho. The trio became a reference in the music scene of the time, playing with renowned artists such as Baden Powell and accompanying Elis Regina and Jair Rodrigues in the acclaimed show "Dois na Bossa", which resulted in a hugely successful LP.

Bianchi also stood out as a composer and arranger, being responsible for elaborate vocal arrangements in Jongo Trio's work. His musical versatility led him to explore different directions, as evidenced in his album "Show de Órgão", released in 1965, where he interpreted themes from movies and television series. His performance as an organist on "Show de Órgão" demonstrates his ability to move between jazz, bossa nova, and soundtracks.

Cido Bianchi passed away on March 1, 2015, in São Paulo, at the age of 79, leaving an important legacy in Brazilian instrumental music. His contribution as a member of the Jongo Trio and as a solo artist solidified his name in the music scene, being remembered for his competence and originality.
