Biography

Claudia Cristina Leite Inácio Pedreira, known artistically as Claudia Leitte, was born in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, but moved to Salvador in early childhood, the city where she built her roots and her artistic career. From a very young age she demonstrated a passion for music, even singing on children's stages and, in her adolescence, working as a backing vocalist in the band of singer Nando Borges in Feira de Santana. Before achieving national acclaim, she passed through groups like Nata do Samba and Companhia do Pagode, until founding, in 2001, the band Babado Novo, responsible for projecting her across Brazil with axé music hits like "Cai Fora" and "Bola de Sabão".

In 2007, the artist began her solo career with the launch of the mega-hit "Exttravasa", a track that dominated Brazilian radio charts and propelled her first live album and DVD recorded in Copacabana. Over the following years, she consolidated her artistic versatility by moving through pop, axé, and Latin rhythms, releasing records like As Máscaras and Axemusic, in addition to breaking audience records and performing at internationally projected events, such as Rock in Rio and the opening of the 2014 FIFA World Cup alongside Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez. Claudia also expanded her work into television, becoming one of the coaches in the first phase of the reality show The Voice Brasil.

Recognized for her strong connection with Bahia, where she received the title of citizen of Salvador and Bahian citizen, the singer divides her journey between the stages, the management of her own production company, and various philanthropic causes. Throughout her journey in Brazilian music, she has shared stages and partnerships with great names of our culture, such as Ivete Sangalo, Carlinhos Brown, Luiz Caldas, and Margareth Menezes, definitively marking her name in the history of Bahian music and national pop.
