Biography
Cláudio Faria was a talented Brazilian musician, born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, on February 14, 1969. Recognized for his versatility, he worked as a singer, composer, keyboardist, arranger, and music producer. His musical training began early, with piano lessons at age six, and deepened at institutions such as the UFMG School of Music and the Fundação Clóvis Salgado, where he studied various instruments and music theory.
Throughout his career, Faria was a member of Beto Guedes's band for over two decades, contributing significantly to the artist's sound. In addition to his work with Guedes, Cláudio Faria developed a solo career, releasing his latest album, "O que ninguém ensina," in 2016. This work was a tribute to his mother, visual artist Maria Simim Faria.
Faria also played in other musical formations, such as the band Noivo da Lu, with which he released two albums. His skill as a multi-instrumentalist allowed him to explore a vast range of sounds, using piano, electric bass, trombone, guitar, cello, flutes, flugelhorn, percussion, organ, clarinet, bassoon, and double bass. Cláudio Faria passed away on December 17, 2017, at the age of 48, due to neurotoxoplasmosis, leaving an important legacy in Minas Gerais and Brazilian music.
