Clemente Tadeu Nascimento, widely known as Clemente, is a seminal figure in Brazilian punk rock, recognized as one of its pioneers. Born in São Paulo in 1963, his musical journey began in 1978 with the band Restos de Nada, an early exponent of the punk scene in Brazil. His influence grew significantly when, in 1981, he founded Inocentes, a band that became a cornerstone of Brazilian rock music, releasing over a dozen albums and maintaining an active career to this day.

Beyond his work with Inocentes, Clemente has also been a vital member of the Brasília-based band Plebe Rude since 2004, further solidifying his impact on the national rock landscape. His creative output extends to solo projects and collaborations, showcasing his versatility as an artist. Clemente's career is marked by his commitment to social commentary in his lyrics, which often faced censorship during Brazil's military regime, highlighting his role as a politically engaged musician.

Clemente's influence transcends his musical endeavors. He has also ventured into other artistic and media roles, including acting, producing, and presenting. He served as the artistic director for the TV Cultura program "Musikaos" and has been involved with the production company Showlivre. His dedication to promoting Brazilian music is further evidenced by his radio program "Filhos da Pátria," which focuses on national rock bands.
