Biography
Colid is a Brazilian band formed during the pandemic, releasing their debut album, "Miragem", in 2023. The trio consists of Lucas Guerra on vocals and bass, Gabriel Valadão on guitar and electronics, and Charles Moreira (Charlinho) on drums. The band self-describes as a "combination of questioning and philosophical lyrics, uniting heaviness, melody, and groove," which is reflected in the tracks of "Miragem," blending influences of modern rock, synthesizers, and electronic beats with drums that have a punk rock and metal feel.
The Colid project emerged organically from ideas by Lucas Guerra, who sought to combine guitar arrangements with electronic music. Gabriel Valadão, with his experience in electronic music production, brought the demos to life, and the addition of Charlinho, a former member of the band Pense along with Guerra, solidified the lineup. This journey, which began without the intention of forming a band, culminated in the recording of a full 10-track album.
The band has participated in events such as the Oxigênio Festival and always seeks to innovate in their performances. Colid's sound, which moves between the heaviness of hardcore and melody, has been gaining ground in the Brazilian music scene, with lyrics that explore philosophical and questioning themes.
