A Companhia do Calypso is a Brazilian calypso band formed in August 2002 in the city of Belém, Pará. Conceived by Milson and Mylla Karvalho, the band quickly gained national projection with their contagious sound and energetic performances, selling over two million copies throughout their career. The group went through several line-ups over the years, featuring notable vocalists such as Lenne Bandeira, Charles Cill, Simara Pires, and Mylla Karvalho, who left the project to dedicate herself to gospel music.

Throughout their career, Companhia do Calypso achieved important certifications from the Brazilian record industry, including platinum and diamond records, driven by unforgettable hits like "Outro Rapaz", "Tchic Bum", and "Se Mancol". The group brought the strength of northern rhythms to various regions of the country, recording memorable DVDs in states such as Goiás, Piauí, and Alagoas. The band's sound dialogued with different popular strands over time, even approaching genres such as sertanejo and bachata in later phases.
