In 1963, she moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she won a talent contest, which earned her a contract to record an LP with the Polydor label. Her career was consolidated on radio, television, and in nightclubs, with performances throughout South America and international tours with the group Brasil Tropical.

Throughout her journey, Dalila lived in Rome and Barcelona, and since 1984 she resided in Sweden, where she continued her artistic career. Her voice and charisma enchanted the Swedish public, and she got married and had her third child in the country. Despite having faced personal challenges, such as the distance from her children and the loss of family members, Dalila maintained her passion for music and worked until the end of her days, being embraced in Sweden.
