Dalmo Medeiros is a Brazilian journalist, composer, and singer, born in Rio de Janeiro on November 26, 1951. He is widely recognized as one of the lead vocalists of MPB-4, a vocal group known for its longevity and significant contributions to Brazilian popular music. Medeiros's musical journey began in the early 1970s, participating in various vocal and instrumental ensembles in Rio de Janeiro. His talent as a composer led him to become an exclusive songwriter for BMG, with numerous songs recorded by prominent artists.

Beyond his career in music, Dalmo Medeiros also established a career in journalism, working for major publications like Jornal do Brasil and O Globo, and also contributed to TV Globo's archival department. His background in journalism provided him with a unique perspective that has informed his artistic endeavors. Medeiros's musical family legacy is notable, with his grandfather Nonô being a composer and early collaborator of Noel Rosa, and his uncle Cauby Peixoto being a renowned singer.
