Biography

Dani Lasalvia is a Brazilian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for her eclectic musical style that blends MPB, world music, blues, and fado.

Her professional career began in 1996, guided by the multi-instrumentalist Dércio Marques. This collaboration led her to participate in numerous shows, recordings, and projects, allowing her to work with and learn from esteemed artists such as Zé Gomes, Stênio Mendes, and Fernando Barba. She also shared stages and projects with iconic Brazilian musicians like Elba Ramalho, Zezé Motta, Almir Sater, and Geraldo Espíndola.

Lasalvia's musical training is extensive, encompassing piano, guitar, and viola caipira. She also incorporates vocal and body percussion techniques learned from Stênio Mendes and Fernando Barba of the group Barbatuques. Her academic background includes a degree in Industrial Design with a focus on Visual Communication from FAAP, a Licentiate in Music from Mozarteum University of São Paulo, and a "Certificate in Arts" from San Diego Mesa College in California. She has also pursued further studies in canto lírico and popular singing, as well as workshops with renowned musicians like Nana Vasconcelos and Marco Pereira.
