Biography

Dani Voguel was a Brazilian singer who gained national recognition as a vocalist for the R&B group Sampa Crew. Born in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, she joined Sampa Crew in 2003 and remained with the group for eight years, contributing to their success in the early 2000s with their romantic R&B sound, characterized by influences of charm and funk melody.

After departing from Sampa Crew in late 2011, Voguel transitioned to a career in gospel music. An evangelical Christian, she dedicated her final years to spreading her faith through song. She spoke publicly about her past struggles with drug addiction, emphasizing her reliance on God for recovery and her new path. Her move to Salvador, Bahia, was prompted by her husband's transfer.

Tragically, Dani Voguel passed away at the age of 37 in Salvador on September 18, 2013, due to bacterial pneumonia. She had been ill for some time, initially recovering at home after a hospital stay, but her condition worsened. Her mother, actress Ieda Maria, was left to care for Dani's three children. Voguel's legacy includes her impactful contributions to Brazilian R&B with Sampa Crew and her later dedication to gospel music.
