Biography

Daniel is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, born in Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo, on September 9, 1968. Encouraged by his father, who was a truck driver and a fan of sertanejo music, he began singing and playing the acoustic guitar in his childhood, receiving his first instrument at age eight and starting basic lessons.

His professional career took off in the 1980s, and in 2002 he released the CD "Um homem apaixonado", celebrating 20 years of musical trajectory, which sold 600,000 copies. On this album, he performed "Um gato que vai", a version by Carlos Colla of a song popularized by Roberto Carlos. The CD also featured the composition "Minha vida", by Peninha. Daniel also acted in films alongside Xuxa Meneghel and released a live DVD in 2001, "Daniel ao vivo", recorded at Olympia, in São Paulo, which included hits like "Vou levando a vida" and "Porto solidão".

Throughout his career, Daniel has established himself as a popular artist, known for his romantic songs and his strong connection with the audience. He has participated in numerous national and international shows, including a musical circuit in New Jersey. His work is marked by a repertoire that dialogues with sertanejo music and MPB, maintaining a constant presence in the Brazilian music scene.
