Daniel Porto Carreiro Gonzaga do Nascimento, known professionally as Daniel Gonzaga, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Born on February 27, 1975, in Rio de Janeiro, he belongs to one of the most prestigious lineages in Brazilian music. He is the son of the acclaimed singer-songwriter Gonzaguinha and the grandson of the legendary "King of Baião," Luiz Gonzaga.

Growing up surrounded by the rich musical traditions of his family, Daniel developed a style that bridges the gap between urban MPB and the regional rhythms of the Brazilian Northeast. His career is marked by a commitment to preserving his family's vast cultural heritage while establishing his own voice as a contemporary artist. In 2018, he was honored with the Troféu Gonzagão, an award recognizing his significant contributions to regional culture and the legacy of his grandfather, Luiz Gonzaga.
