Biography

Daniel Martins is a musician, composer, arranger, guitarist, pianist, and teacher of music theory, guitar, bass, and piano, born in Rio de Janeiro.

Throughout his career, he has been a member of several bands from Rio de Janeiro, such as Benflos. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has participated in the recording of several CDs, including "Flores humanas" by Mariana Davies, "Água demais" and "De pai para filha" by Mayra Bravo, and "Canções dentro da noite escura" by Lobão, with whom he also played in the backing band. In 2007, he worked as a bassist on the CD "Acústico MTV – Lobão", which won a Latin Grammy.

In 2011, alongside Luiz Pintoni, Rodrigo Ramalho, Uirá Bueno, and Diogo Brandão, he founded the Rio band A Turmalina, with which he performed in various shows and events. In the same year, he also worked as a musician for singer Mayra Bravo and the group Rockz. In addition to his work as a musician, Daniel Martins has also acted as a curator and producer for the "Festival Santa Música". His versatility has led him to participate in major Brazilian music award shows, such as "Abril Pró Rock", "Humaitá Pra Peixe", "Prêmio Multishow", and "Video Music Brasil", playing in the backing bands of various artists.
