Biography

Dante Ozzetti is a renowned Brazilian composer, arranger, music producer, and acoustic guitarist, born in São Paulo on September 12, 1956. His musical career is marked by a deep ability to create sophisticated songs and arrangements, which has made him a reference in contemporary Brazilian music. Brother of singer Ná Ozzetti and flutist Marta Ozzetti, he grew up in a family environment conducive to art, influenced by musicians and the musical appreciation of his parents and grandfather. The acoustic guitar entered his life at age 14, an instrument that accompanies him to this day and with which he studied under the renowned "Joãozinho Bossa Nova".

His professional trajectory gained prominence starting in the 1980s, especially through his collaborations with his sister Ná Ozzetti, for whom he produced and arranged her first two albums, "Ná Ozzetti" (1988) and "Ná" (1994). These works earned him the Sharp Award for Best Arranger and Best Album, consolidating his talent. Throughout his career, Dante Ozzetti has also established musical partnerships with several renowned artists, such as Luiz Tatit, Chico César, Zeca Baleiro, Zélia Duncan, Alzira Espíndola, and Zé Miguel Wisnik, among others, enriching the panorama of Brazilian music with his compositions and arrangements.

Dante Ozzetti is known for his versatility and harmonic elegance in his creations. In 2000, he won the 3rd Visa MPB Award – Composer Edition, which led him to record the CD "Ultrapássaro", released the following year. His most recent work includes the album "Abre a Cortina" (2021), in partnership with Luiz Tatit, which celebrates 25 years of collaboration between the two artists. Ozzetti's musicality extends to projects that explore regional rhythms, such as the album "Amazônia Órbita", which investigates sounds from the Amazon region, demonstrating his constant search for new sonorities and cultural references.
