Biography

David Cerqueira dos Santos Rodrigues was born in Rio de Janeiro on January 9, 1982. He is a singer, songwriter, advertising professional, and graphic designer, as well as the son of the late gospel singer Denise Cerqueira. He began his prominent journey in music in 2002 as the lead vocalist of the famous band Toque no Altar, where he remained until 2006 and participated in landmark albums such as Restituição.

Parallel to this, in 2002, he founded the band Cume do Monte alongside his brother Daniel Cerqueira and other friends, releasing a self-titled album that same year and, later, the record Me Encontre Outra Vez in 2010. As a solo artist, he has released albums such as Do Outro Lado and Eis o Rei, the latter featuring original compositions that converse with names like Davi Sacer. In 2018, he further consolidated his career by signing a contract with the record label Sony Music Brasil.
