Biography
Delamare de Abreu was a Brazilian singer who was part of the history of the country's sertanejo and popular music. He is known for having been the second "Ranchinho" of the famous duo "Alvarenga e Ranchinho". His partnership with Murilo Alvarenga lasted about two months in the 1950s, a period during which they contributed to the duo's repertoire.
Born in São Paulo, Delamare de Abreu was Murilo Alvarenga's maternal half-brother. After his brief stint in the duo "Alvarenga e Ranchinho", Delamare de Abreu followed a different path, leaving the stage to dedicate himself to religious life as a Protestant pastor.
Although his music career was short, Delamare de Abreu's time in the duo "Alvarenga e Ranchinho" places him in the context of the sertanejo music of that era, alongside artists such as Diésis dos Anjos Gaia and Homero de Souza Campos, who also joined the duo's lineup at different times.
