Biography

Delmir & Delmon is a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in Bambuí, Minas Gerais, in the early 1970s. The duo's members are Delmir (Delfim Costa) and Delmon (Antônio Artur). They are considered pioneers of the "modão" and "sertanejo de raiz" (root sertanejo) genres, known for their heartfelt lyrics and traditional sound.

Before forming their own duo, Delmir and Delmon were part of the first formation of the iconic Trio Parada Dura, alongside Mangabinha, from 1973 to 1975. The song "Parada Dura," written by Delmir, became so popular that it gave the trio its name. After their departure from the trio due to commercial disagreements, Delmir & Delmon continued their career as a duo, releasing numerous successful albums and singles.

Throughout their career, Delmir & Delmon have experienced periods of separation and reunion, but their passion for music and their connection with fans have always endured. They have released many albums, including "Vida de Minha Vida," "Sonhos da Vida," and "Teus Olhos São Minha Vida." Their music continues to resonate with audiences, preserving the legacy of classic Brazilian sertanejo.
