Biography

Delmir e Delmon are a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in the 1970s in Bambuí, Minas Gerais. The duo's members are Delmir (Delfim Costa) and Delmon (Antônio Artur). Their careers began in the vibrant music scene of Minas Gerais, often performing in circuses and the bohemian districts that were fertile ground for sertanejo music.

In the early 1970s, Delmir and Delmon were part of the original lineup of Trio Parada Dura, alongside Mangabinha. The trio gained significant popularity, especially after the success of the song "Parada Dura," which eventually gave the group its name. However, in 1975, due to commercial and financial disagreements, the trio disbanded. Delmir and Delmon then decided to continue their musical journey as a duo.

Since forming their duo, Delmir and Delmon have released numerous albums and achieved considerable success within the sertanejo genre. Their discography includes hits like "Sincero Amor," "Parada Dura" (also a hit for the trio), and "Balão de Seda." Despite experiencing periods of separation throughout their career, they have consistently reunited and continued to perform and record, maintaining a strong connection with their audience and contributing to the rich legacy of Brazilian sertanejo music.
