Biography
Desejos was a Brazilian romantic pagode group formed in São Paulo in 1997. The group gained national recognition in the late 1990s with hits like "Mel na minha boca" and "Quem ama não nega perdão," which contributed to their first album selling over 150,000 copies and earning a gold record. Their music often featured themes of love and relationships, characteristic of the pagode genre.
Throughout their career, Desejos experienced several lineup changes. Márcio Duarte, twin brother of the singer Vavá (formerly of Karametade), was an early vocalist. Later, Conrado (ex-Trapalhões) and Eric (the group's guitarist) also took on vocal duties. The group released several albums, including "Felicidade de Sonhar" in 2001, and collaborated with artists like Simony on the song "Não vai dar."
Desejos toured extensively in Brazil and internationally, including performances in Mozambique, South Africa, and Angola. They also released music in Portugal. Despite facing member departures, the group continued to release music and perform until around 2010, leaving a mark on the pagode scene of the late 90s and early 2000s.
