Biography

Diablo Angel is a Brazilian band hailing from Pernambuco, formed around 2013. The group has evolved significantly over their career, moving from a rawer, English-language rock sound in their early days to incorporating Portuguese lyrics and more complex themes.

Their third studio album, "O Que Te Dá Prazer" (What Gives You Pleasure), released in 2023, marked a shift towards indie pop, characterized by synthesizers, electronic elements, and guitars. This album, conceived during the pandemic, explores themes of female sexual pleasure and aims to challenge societal norms that place it in a secondary role. The production of this album involved P3dr0 Diniz, known for his work with Mundo Livre S/A, bringing a touch of Pernambucan musicality to their pop sound.

The band's current lineup features Kira Aderne on vocals and guitar, Nívea Maria on vocals and keyboards, Tárcio Luna on guitar, and Vitor Lima on drums. Diablo Angel has gained recognition in the independent music scene, performing at festivals like Coquetel Molotov and Abril Pro Rock. Their music often blends influences from the 90s noise scene with 80s formations, creating a unique sonic landscape that is both psychedelic and introspective.
