Biography

Jeferson dos Santos Vieira, widely known as DJ Cia, is a prominent Brazilian music producer, actor, and DJ born in São Paulo. Growing up with a father who was also a DJ in the Transa Som sound system, he was naturally drawn to hip-hop and the music scene from a young age. He began his career performing at parties and later gained recognition through radio shows and DJ competitions, eventually adopting the stage name DJ Cia during a hip-hop contest organized by KL Jay and Xis.

His career reached new heights when he joined the influential rap group RZO, alongside artists like Sandrão and Helião, becoming recognized as one of the greatest DJs in Brazil. Beyond his work with RZO, DJ Cia has built an extensive production discography collaborating with legendary Brazilian acts such as Sabotage, Elza Soares, Marcelo D2, and Charlie Brown Jr. His reputation also extended internationally when he was invited by American rapper Jay-Z to work with Roc-A-Fella Records.

As a versatile producer and turntablist, DJ Cia continues to shape the sound of Brazilian hip-hop and urban music. He has won numerous awards, headlined major events like the Rio Music Conference, and contributed significantly to the mainstream success and artistic growth of Brazilian rap through his collaborations with figures such as Mano Brown and Xis.
