Biography

Dom Vittor & Gustavo was a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in Goiânia, Goiás, active between 2020 and 2022. The duo consisted of Dom Vittor, who had previously participated in "The Voice Kids" in 2016 and had a solo career, and Gustavo, the brother of the late sertanejo star Marília Mendonça.

Their musical journey began in 2020 when they met and developed a songwriting partnership, leading them to form a duo as performers. Dom Vittor had already had songs recorded by established artists like Maiara & Maraisa, Henrique & Juliano, and Israel & Rodolffo. In 2021, the duo was mentored by Marília Mendonça and signed with Virgin Music Brasil. Their debut EP, "Do Zero" (2021), featured new songs and covers of sertanejo hits, with "Ângulo Perfeito" gaining significant traction.

Tragically, Marília Mendonça passed away in a plane crash shortly after the EP's release. The duo released "Calculista" in December 2021, a posthumous single featuring Mendonça, which garnered millions of views. In 2022, they collaborated with artists like Michele Andrade and Murilo Huff. However, Gustavo's struggles with depression led to the duo's disbandment in September 2022, with both members pursuing individual paths.
