Biography

Drik Barbosa, stage name of Adriana Barbosa de Souza, was born in São Paulo and began her career as a teenager, writing songs since the age of 14 and making a name for herself in the national rap scene after participating in the Batalha do Santa Cruz. Throughout her career, she has stood out for her versatility in moving between rap, R&B, and afro-brazilian rhythms, establishing herself as one of the most expressive voices of the feminist movement and contemporary urban music.

The artist gained national recognition by collaborating with the renowned rapper Emicida on highly acclaimed songs such as "Mandume", in addition to joining the female collective Rimas e Melodias alongside names like Tássia Reis. In 2018, she released her debut EP titled "Espelho", followed by her first solo album in 2019, which featured prominent guest appearances by Karol Conká, Gloria Groove, and Luedji Luna.

Drik Barbosa's talent crossed borders when her hit "Quem Tem Joga", in partnership with Karol Conká and Gloria Groove, became part of the soundtrack for the hollywood film "The Suicide Squad". With dozens of major collaborations throughout her journey, she continues to expand the horizons of brazilian music, uniting lyrical strength and rhythmic diversity.
