Biography

Duda Brack is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress born in Porto Alegre in 1993. She emerged onto the national music scene with a visceral rock and MPB aesthetic, releasing her debut independent album, É, in 2015. Produced by Bruno Giorgi and supported by a power-trio lineup, the record drew critical acclaim and was heavily influenced by iconic performers like Gal Costa and Fiona Apple. Her rising profile allowed her to tour extensively and share stages with legendary acts such as Elza Soares, Otto, and Alceu Valença.

Expanding her artistic horizons, Duda participated in various collaborative musical projects over the following years. In 2017, she teamed up with former Titãs drummer Charles Gavin and other musicians to record Primavera nos Dentes, a tribute album dedicated to the groundbreaking group Secos & Molhados. She later joined forces with singers Júlia Vargas and Juliana Linhares for the 2019 project Iara Ira, further establishing her versatility within contemporary Brazilian music.

In late 2021, Duda released her sophomore studio album, Caco de Vidro, which featured guest appearances from MPB icon Ney Matogrosso and the collective BaianaSystem, alongside co-production credits by the artist herself. Transitioning beyond the music sphere, she made her television acting debut in 2022 by portraying the theatrical vaudeville performer Iolanda in the Rede Globo telenovela Além da Ilusão. Through her multifaceted career spanning recording, live performance, and acting, Duda Brack continues to cement her presence in Brazilian culture.
