Edson Lobo is a Brazilian musician and composer who became widely known for his artistic and personal partnership with singer, acoustic guitarist, and songwriter Tita (Maria de Lourdes Gusmão Lobo). Together, they formed the duo Edson e Tita, releasing notable albums such as Novidade de Vida in 1982 and Gosto Tanto in 2001, the latter of which featured prominent Brazilian artists like João Donato and Robertinho Silva. Their musical trajectory included blending religious and secular themes across several decades, recording multiple albums that solidified their presence in the Brazilian independent and gospel music scenes.

Throughout his career, Edson Lobo collaborated with various acclaimed instrumentalists and performers, performing both in Brazil and internationally, including a period living in Boston during the 1990s where they played alongside musicians like Alfredo Cardim.
