Biography
Eduardo Aguiar, known artistically as Edu A., is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, lyricist, arranger, and music producer born in Rio de Janeiro. Starting his musical journey later in life by taking up the acoustic guitar after turning forty, he quickly established a prolific career, releasing his initial works under the moniker "Banda Filhos de Platão". His distinctive style bridges Brazilian popular music with international collaborations, notably fostering deep artistic ties with musicians from Uruguay and Argentina.
Throughout his career, Edu A. has collaborated with prominent figures in Brazilian literature and music, including Arnaldo Brandão, Lenine, Luiz Tatit, Zélia Duncan, and Geraldo Azevedo. His work frequently explores cross-cultural themes, as seen in projects like his album "Entropia" and the "Trio Entre Dos Ríos" formation, which featured legendary Uruguayan artists such as Hugo Fattoruso and Gabriela Morgare. His notable releases also include the single "Corazón" with Florencia Ruiz and the 2025 album "Todas as Esquinas do Mundo," which pays homage to the Clube de Esquina movement and Brazilian bossa nova.
