Biography

Eduardo Rennó Kneip, known artistically as Edu Kneip, is a Brazilian composer and guitarist born in Taubaté, São Paulo, on February 28, 1970. His musical journey is marked by a strong connection to Brazilian popular music, with various partnerships and compositions recorded under his name. Throughout his career, Edu Kneip has stood out for his skill as a composer, exploring different themes and musical styles.

His work includes partnerships with renowned artists such as Guinga, Mauro Aguiar, Alexandre Fróes, among others. A notable facet of his work is his dedication to paying tribute to memorable moments in football, especially those of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. In 2018, he released the CD "Vencer Vencer Vencer", as a tribute to emblematic matches of the team, with songs that narrate the history and passion of the fans. This connection to the sport demonstrates the versatility of his composition, which moves between lyrical poetry and sports chronicle.

Edu Kneip has also had his work interpreted by other artists, such as Mônica Salmaso and Quarteto Maogani, who in 2001 performed the song "Guingando", written by him in partnership with Mauro Aguiar.
