Biography

Carlos Eduardo Taddeo, artistically known as Eduardo Taddeo or simply Eduardo, is a prominent Brazilian rapper, songwriter, social activist, speaker, and writer. Born in São Paulo on August 24, 1975, his journey is marked by a deep connection to the realities of urban peripheries, which became the main source of inspiration for his hard-hitting and socially engaged lyrics. He is one of the founders and former leader of the iconic group Facção Central, where he acted as vocalist and main lyricist, leaving an indelible mark on the history of national rap.

His musical journey began in 1989, and alongside his partner Dum Dum, he formed the group Esquadrão Menor, before consolidating Facção Central. With the group, he released acclaimed albums such as "Estamos de Luto", "Versos Sangrentos", and "Direto do Campo de Extermínio", which rawly and viscerally portray social ills, violence, and the struggle for survival in communities. In 2013, Eduardo Taddeo began his solo career, releasing works like "A Fantástica Fábrica de Cadáver" and "O Necrotério dos Vivos", which maintained his sharp and reflective lyrical style.

In addition to his musical career, Eduardo Taddeo is recognized for his social and educational activism. He gives lectures throughout Brazil, encouraging young people to seek education as a tool for transformation, despite not having finished middle school. His work extends to visits to schools, universities, and foundations, such as Fundação Casa. In 2012, he released his first book, "A Guerra Não Declarada na Visão de um Favelado", followed by volume 2 in 2016, establishing him as an influential voice that transcends music, addressing crucial themes for Brazilian society.
