Biography

Felipe Perdigão Hiltz, known professionally as El Lif, is a Brazilian DJ and beatmaker who rose to prominence as the official producer of the hip hop collective Pirâmide Perdida. Born in Cosme Velho, Rio de Janeiro, he began his journey in music production in 2010 after living near Rod from the group 3030. Today, he serves as a producer, musical director, and CEO of Pirâmide Perdida Records, overseeing all the label's musical output from his current residence in Copacabana.

Throughout his career, El Lif has collaborated with several prominent figures in the national rap scene, including Akira Presidente, Luccas Carlos, Diomedes Chinaski, and Sain, the son of Marcelo D2. His production style often involves utilizing samples by chopping and editing small fragments of existing tracks, which he then combines with electronic drums created in the Logic Pro DAW.

In 2016, he achieved widespread national recognition by producing the critically acclaimed debut album Castelos & Ruínas by rapper BK, as well as the mixtape Pirâmide Perdida: Volume 7. He continued his successful partnership with BK in 2018 by producing multiple beats for the album Gigantes, working alongside Grammy-winning mixing engineer Arthur Luna.
