Biography

Eletrosamba emerged in Rio de Janeiro in 2003, formed by Wellington Soares (percussion), DJ Negralha (DJ), Felipe Rodarte (guitar and vocals), Waltinho (percussion and vocals) and César (bass and vocals). The band stood out for its innovative proposal to merge samba and batucada with electronic beats, drum'n bass and hip-hop influences, creating a unique sound that revitalized the samba-rock scene. This fusion of styles, combined with the quality of their original compositions and bold reinterpretations of Brazilian music classics, such as Jorge Ben Jor, allowed the group to rescue the roots of black music with a quality authorial attire.

Throughout its career, Eletrosamba has performed over 250 shows, including performances in London, and was nominated for the Multishow Award as revelation group. The band also had the opportunity to collaborate with several renowned artists, such as Daniela Mercury, Marcelo D2, Bebeto, and participated in important musical events. In 2004, they released their first CD through Sony Music, which featured guest appearances by artists like Bebeto and Marcelinho da Lua, consolidating their presence in the music market.

Eletrosamba is an example of how the diversity of influences and harmony among musicians can result in an authentic and catchy sound.
