Biography

Eliana Maria de Lima was born in São Paulo on September 19, 1961. She began her artistic career in the São Paulo Carnival, standing out as a samba-enredo interpreter in major samba schools such as Unidos do Peruche and Leandro de Itaquera. During this carnival phase, she recorded anthological sambas such as Filhos de Mãe Preta and Babalotim - A História dos Afoxés, in addition to performing a memorable duet with master Jamelão.

Her national recognition came in 1991 with the release of the song Desejo de Amar, marked by the famous verse "undererê," which boosted her popularity nationwide and earned her the title of "The Queen of Pagode." Throughout her career, she built a discography of ten albums that surpassed the mark of two million copies sold, earning three gold records and two double platinum records from record labels such as GEL Continental, RGE Discos, and Paradoxx Music.

In the following years, she remained present in the media and on television, participating in variety shows and recording, in 2013, the track A Xepa as the opening theme for the soap opera Dona Xepa, broadcast by Rede Record. Solidifying her artistic versatility, she has released recent independent works, such as the song Golpe Baixo in 2022, keeping her relevance in Brazilian music alive.
