Biography

Eliana Printes is a talented Brazilian singer and songwriter originally born in Manaus. Throughout her musical journey, she has released numerous studio albums and compilation records, establishing herself within the Brazilian popular music scene. Her career took a significant step forward when she traveled to Rio de Janeiro in 1994 to record her self-titled debut album, which earned her a nomination for the prestigious Sharp Music Award in the revelation MPB category.

Over the years, Printes expanded her artistic reach through various national and international projects. In 2007, she was featured on the compilation album Divas Cantam Jobim, paying homage to the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim. Her distinctive voice and interpretations have also crossed borders, including a special performance in Germany alongside the Collegium Musicum Potsdam symphony orchestra under the direction of conductor Knut Andreas, merging Brazilian rhythms with classical traditions.

In addition to her extensive discography, which includes works like Cinema Guarany, her music has reached audiences through cinema as well. A track from her repertoire was notably included in the soundtrack of the Brazilian film Qualquer Gato Vira-Lata, directed by Tomás Portela. Today, Eliana Printes continues to reside in Rio de Janeiro, where she maintains an active career in recording and performing.
