Biography

Emerson da Cruz Pinheiro was born in Rio de Janeiro on June 13, 1974. A singer, songwriter, music producer, arranger, and pastor, he overcame leukemia at the age of eight and, during his adolescence, developed his musical skills by learning to play the drums and keyboard. His major influence was keyboardist Pedro Braconnot, who encouraged him in his career and professionalization.

Throughout his career, Emerson was a member and one of the founders of the band Quatro por Um in 2002, remaining with the group until 2005. Concurrently and in his solo career, he released albums such as Eu Estava Lá and Carpinteiro, establishing himself as one of the central figures of Protestant music production in Brazil. He is married to singer Fernanda Brum, with whom he has collaborated extensively over the years.

In addition to his original work, Emerson Pinheiro became notable as one of the most prominent Christian music producers in the country, signing arrangements and productions for various exponents of the genre, including Eyshila, Bruna Karla, Voices, and Ludmila Ferber. His work in gospel music earned him national and international recognition, including relevant nominations and awards, such as at the Latin Grammy.
