Biography

Emílio & Eduardo is a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed by cousins Emílio Lúcio da Costa and Eduardo Costa Borges. Hailing from Araxá, Minas Gerais, the duo began their professional career in 1984, initially performing traditional country music, romantic songs, and dance music.

Their breakthrough came in 1997 with the release of their first official album, followed by national recognition in 2000 with the hit "Você Virou Saudade," which became their signature song and solidified their place in Brazilian sertanejo music. The duo is also known for their songwriting, with many of their hits, such as "Vai Por Mim," "Grito de Amor," "Primavera," and "Rodopiou," being composed by Emílio.

With over 40 years in the music industry, Emílio & Eduardo continue to captivate audiences. Their 2023 DVD "Momentos" has garnered over 70 million views on YouTube, and they maintain a strong presence on streaming platforms with over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. They have also collaborated with other renowned artists, including Rionegro & Solimões on the project "Resenha Sem Compromisso," which celebrates sertanejo music and their friendship.
