Biography
Eminence is a Brazilian groove metal and new deathcore band formed in January 1995 in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, at the initiative of guitarist Alan Wallace. The group quickly gained national recognition by winning the Minas Gerais stage of the Skol Rock festival in 1997 and securing third place in the overall national ranking. With a heavy and energetic sound, the ensemble began touring internationally, becoming the first Brazilian band to perform at the Rock Al Parque festival in Colombia and making appearances at major events such as Rock in Rio.
Throughout their career, the group has released several internationally acclaimed albums, such as Chaotic System, Humanology, The God of All Mistakes, and The Stalker, featuring renowned productions like that of Tue Madsen. In 2021, they released the album Dark Echoes, which featured prominent collaborations from the local and national scene, including Márcio Buzelin from Jota Quest and drummer Alexandre Oliveira, as well as collaborations with international musicians. The band's current lineup features Bruno Paraguay on vocals, Alan Wallace on guitar, Davidson Mainart on bass, and Alexandre Oliveira on drums, consolidating a solid legacy within Brazilian heavy metal alongside exponents like Sepultura.
