Biography
Emmerson Oliveira Nogueira is a Brazilian singer, acoustic guitarist, songwriter, and music producer, born in Belo Horizonte and raised in São João Nepomuceno, Minas Gerais. He began getting involved with music in his adolescence at the age of 14 and gained notoriety by winning major regional festivals, such as Canta Minas in 1994 and 1995.
The major milestone of his career occurred in 2001 with the release of the album "Versão Acústica", a project focused on renditions of international rock classics that sold over 100,000 copies in a few months. The resounding success resulted in a series of albums and DVDs certified with Gold and Platinum records, cementing his name alongside major interpreters of national music like Roberto Carlos and Djavan in terms of sales during that period.
In addition to his famous covers of bands like Pink Floyd and Supertramp, Emmerson also expanded his artistic work by releasing original material, such as the 2014 album in partnership with songwriter Paulinho Cri. Owner of his own studio and record label, he remains active in the Brazilian music scene while maintaining a strong connection with the audience.
