Biography

"Encontro Marcado" is a musical project that brought together, starting in 2015, the duo Sá & Guarabyra, singer-songwriter Flávio Venturini, and the band 14 Bis. The initiative arose from the long-standing friendship between the artists, who had already collaborated at various points in their careers. The show, which began as individual performances on the same stage, evolved into a joint performance, with the musicians of 14 Bis accompanying Sá & Guarabyra and Flávio Venturini.

The repertoire of "Encontro Marcado" spans about 30 songs, including major hits from all participants, such as "Sobradinho", "Criaturas da Noite", "Dona", "Planeta Sonho", "Canção da América", "Espanhola", "Todo azul do mar", "Noites com sol" and "Linda Juventude". In 2016, a live CD and DVD recording the spectacle was released. The project toured annually between 2015 and 2019, was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and resumed in 2022.

The musical roots of this gathering date back to the 1970s, when Sá & Guarabyra invited a young Flávio Venturini to participate in the recording of their first album. Later, Flávio Venturini and Sérgio Magrão (from 14 Bis) were part of Sá & Guarabyra's backing band. 14 Bis, formed by brothers Cláudio and Flávio Venturini, Sérgio Magrão, Vermelho and Hely Rodrigues, has a trajectory marked by Brazilian pop rock hits, with influences from Clube da Esquina and Milton Nascimento.
